Box Me Up
Sunday 8/7, Spring Cafe Aspen, NoHo
I was standing in line with a friend. You were wearing a white tee and red basketball shorts. You came up to the counter to ask for a box. I glanced over and you said you liked my glasses. I’d love to grab a bite sometime!
is this missed connections about you? do you recognize a friend in the description? respond to this or send an email to hi@hotsingles.nyc to get in touch 💌

a party to celebrate corn
7:30pm this Thursday, rooftop in Williamsburg
Produce parties is a seasonal, veg-centric supper club where vegetable lovers throw birthday parties for produce at its peak. The parties have one rule - you must bring a dish that incorporates the chosen vegetable.
I created Produce Parties last summer with a simple mission - to celebrate in-season produce with people that truly appreciate vegetables. Since then the party has grown from 10 to 70+, celebrated 4 season's of produce, and helped raise over $5000 for City Harvest, World Central Kitchen, and Grow NYC.

a queer play about jesus
August 18-21st, The Tank at West 36th Street, Garment District
Did you ever distract yourself sitting in church or Sunday school by imaging that maybe Jesus and Judas were in love? If you answered yes (or no!), then come see our play! With a majority queer cast and crew, this play allows you to trade the actual heat for some (imaginary) heat in a story about love and faith blossoming in the desert.

a response in support of last week’s road rager
ok as a cyclist… the road rager is right. if you’re taking a picture while standing in the bike lane you’re endangering us both. i’m thinking the photog here doesn’t bike in brooklyn very much, but yelling like that is often part of the game bc everyone else on the road (cars, pedestrians) is constantly ignoring you! this for sure wasn’t me, not my route, but co-signed, get out of the bike lane!Â
