randa here from hot singles, remember? about a year ago, i decided to shut this thing down. the TL;DR – it’s BACK, temporarily, but you’ll need to subscribe to my new newsletter, Good Hang, to receive the singles:
sooo… here’s the longer story. i shut down hot singles for lots of reasons but mostly because (1) i was tired of running it and (2) the whole reason i started it was to get a boyfriend, then it got wayyyyy out of hand. as it turns out, “solving dating” is really hard to do. so i’ve moved my focus to something different, but adjacent. Hanging Out.
in a sense, i’m going more primitive with it… hanging out has existed since the dawn of humanity. “dating” as we know it today was invented in 1896. and what is a date, if not a charged, higher stakes hang sesh? what is a long term partner if not someone you love to hang out with? in other words: i hang out, therefore, i am.
DON’T WORRY– i’m not turning hot singles into bumble BFF 🤢. my new newsletter, Good Hang, is about hanging out and chilling. we tackle such hot button topics as how to physically position yourself at a social gathering, forming habits with friends, and the many ways you can send a party invite. it’s highly relevant stuff to 20s and 30s city-dwellers. we also can’t help ourselves but still talk about dating.
and yeah, u read that right, i said WE because Good Hang is a collaborative project with my friend and fan favorite Hot Single Reply Guy aka Booty Call Theorist aka podcast producer and writer Harry Krinsky.

RS: we write it like a conversation…and we’ve actually been writing this newsletter for 8 months already, but we’re coming to the good people of Hot Singles because we’ve planned a special, bicoastal crossover month. Introducing: OPERATION H.O.A.M.K.
HK: This Good Hang x Hot Singles crossover is partly to introduce everyone to Good Hang, but more importantly, to see if we can get some hanger outters to KISS. We’ll be sending out Hot Singles in NYC and San Francisco (tell your friends!), plus additional hangout/dating crossover content leading up to February 14th (Hang Out And Maybe Kiss Day).
