hey hotties!
this week’s hot single might write code for a living, but she otherwise likes to live “in the physical.” she creates physical art, makes an intentional effort to meet people in the physical world, and as her name suggests, gets physical at the gym. this six pack software engineer works out…could it work out between the two of you?
stay hot 🥵

tell us a fun fact about yourself
I do relief printing as a hobby, which is an art form that uses a press and ink to make large art prints. I’m a software engineer and spend a lot of time arguing with computers (programming) so I think I was drawn to printmaking from a desire to create real things in the real world. Carving the printing blocks, mixing ink, and calibrating the press takes a lot of sweat and elbow grease, which feels so corporeal after staring at lines of code all day. For a similar reason, I can never summon a lot of enthusiasm for social media, discord servers, NFTs, the mEtAvErSe, or swiping on dating apps; life is meant to be lived in the physical.
what have you changed your mind about?
I used to believe that I was an introvert by nature, that I was happy with it, and there was deep romanticism in being a lone wolf. Meeting new people always felt difficult and vulnerable, so I just didn’t bother and convinced myself it was ok because I Walk A Lonely Road, The Only One That I Have Ever Known. Over the pandemic I did a full system update on my brain, and started challenging myself to strike up conversation with strangers, make eye contact, and generally enjoy the company of other members of my species. It has been by far the hardest skill I’ve ever learned, but I’m happy to say my life is a million times more fulfilling and enriched with all the large and small connections I make with others on a daily basis.
😈 what’s your toxic trait?
A Premium Subscription to the crippling insecurity and anxiety that rests heavy upon every millennial’s soul. I do still obsess over my own performance and, in blatant defiance of the asks of most Hinge profiles, take myself extremely seriously. I know I need a healthier source of motivation that doesn’t rely on anxiety and negative self-talk – and am working on it – but sometimes secretly worry I’ll lose my edge.
🥵 what makes you hot?
For the conventional definition of "hot" – health and wellness is a top priority in my life; I’m in the gym 6 days a week and have the abs of a 2002 Sports Illustrated cover. In more interesting terms, I'm emotionally self-sufficient without being closed off, have an active set of hobbies and friendships without being too busy for new people, and am overall in a secure place to be thoughtful and discriminating in the search for a partner.
Also, I live alone in a two bedroom apartment with in-unit washer/dryer.
🔎 who are you looking for?
I'm looking for a human who is emotionally and physically secure in themselves, whose motives and validation come from within, and who knows their way around both a weight rack and a wine list. Most importantly, somebody who understands the balance of retaining a sense of self and independence while also sharing your life with another person.
