23W Fermentation Fiend Seeks Man Who Pickles Her Fancy
today’s hot single is super thoughtful and curious about climate change, wellness, and food systems. over time, she’s changed her mind about diet and health–she might change your mind too. this fermentation fiend obviously makes great pickles…could you be the man who pickles her fancy?
stay hot 🥵
p.s. did you get your tix for hot singles week? we kicked off last night with the first dinner. here’s a quote from an attendee 🥺
This was my first group dating experience and it was really lovely! Everyone was so kind and open and the way that Randa facilitated the experience made me feel safe :)
what are your predictions for the coming months/years?
Tourism boom to Wisconsin Dells, WI. Due to climate change, we will have to go on vacations in the middle of America. Everyone will soon be making their own nut milks from scratch… I can teach you how. iPod Nanos, Neopets, Sims, Webkinz, Rollercoaster Tycoon – all coming back due to all of us getting disgruntled by Big Tech, Meta, Zuck, etc. The decline of the Democratic Party, maybe the Republican Party, too. It seems extremely unlikely to see radical change in US politics, but in a dream world… I’d like to see a major political party realignment in the US over the next 10 years.
what have you changed your mind about?
Health. I was vegan for about 4 years based on environmental/ethical reasons, though I never was militant enough to lecture others about their choices or expect others to have cashew cheese available at parties. I am no longer vegan; I now eat pretty much everything besides dairy – yes, I have a sensitive stomach. My relationship to health and wellness has changed a lot out of curiosity. I find myself contemplating the intersections between our food system and climate change, which forces me to question my diet, lifestyle habits, etc. For example, meat eaters often support Big Ag, yet vegans can still buy a lot of single-use plastic or fruit shipped from across the globe. I enjoy challenging my own beliefs about the “best” way to eat on a warming planet, learning more about new longevity research, and debunking the BS in the health/wellness industry.
😈 what’s your toxic trait?
Unfortunately, I am chronically online. My average screen time is disturbing. I’ve convinced myself that I can do most of my work from my phone, refusing to open my laptop unless it is a dire necessity. Some of the ways I find myself rotting away and staring at my iPhone include: sourcing photos of Spongebob or Bratz Dolls for my meme page, completing a W9 form via the Instagram story drawing features, or listening to a podcast about the gut microbiome at 2.0x speed while reading an article about partisan gerrymandering. If I like you though, you’ll 1000% get my full attention. Maybe I’ll whip out my phone to show you a weird YouTube video I was referencing mid-convo…
🥵 what makes you hot?
I know my way around the supplement aisle. I can probably cure your IBS. I’ll help you live until 100, or however long it is until we all wither away from climate change. I make a great chia seed jam and homemade pickles, thus I’m looking to find someone to aimlessly wander around with on a Saturday. Perhaps including some time spent eyeing up local produce at the farmer’s market… I’m a true hopeless romantic. I’m originally from the Midwest so I still have a little bit of my “Minnesota Nice” left in me. I’m a very active person, I run almost everyday along the Hudson River in my Hokas, and I'm 6 feet tall.
🔎 who are you looking for?
Looking for a tall king with a mustache who dresses well. He can make me laugh, likes trying fermented foods and tinned fish – he even will citibike around town with me before we watch the sunset along the West Side Highway. He’s passionate about environmental, social, and political issues in some way – I’m drawn towards people who are very curious, reflective, imaginative, and inspired to see the world in a better state than how it is currently.
