Just Another Sexy Bald Guy
Last Saturday, on the F train heading downtown/ brooklyn in manhattan. i think you were on the train already
we were across the train, i was wearing a dark navy Cisco hat and a white mask, and you were wearing a sweater that said "just another sexy bald guy" that made me laugh but also respect that you know you are sexy haha. we kind of had some eye contact, but the subway was pretty crowded and so i had to keep on moving around. before you got off at jay st metro tech you moved close and was literally standing in front of me - i was planning to compliment you for the sweater but missed my timing haha.
holiday party for public sector employees
Dec 1, The Barlow, Prospect Heights
I’m hosting a holiday party for my niche Instagram account, @publicsectoroffice, which features sad photos from government office spaces. It’s not explicitly for singles but would be a great place for a single bureaucrat to find a fellow public servant/urban planner/policy wonk.
comedy about regional conflict
Tonight at 7pm, 167 Graham Ave Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Tri-State Cage Match is a comedy variety show that highlights the hyperlocal regional conflicts of the greater NYC Metropolitan Area, hosted by me, Molly Hodson. In this match, Pennsylvania enters to ring to face off against the reigning champion (New Jersey) and the fan-favorite (Long Island) in a no-holds barred comedic showdown. Come see if PA has what it takes to be deemed the official Fourth Tri-State!
singles event involving somatics and meditation
Tonight at 6:30pm, 347 Maujer St, East Williamsburg
I'm Allie. I wanted to create a new kinda singles event; I started w a theory that combining somatic experiencing + thoughtful questions + a grounding medi in beautiful space would yield to connection @ depth. So far, it feels prove'd out. I've heard about WhatsApp threads that've formed; multiple first dates; birthday party invites extended + fielded lots of asks to be linked in the days after. Those aren't my fave parts: my fave part is watching ppl arrive feeling hesitant (normal at a 'singles event') and walk out feeling connected to their body, alive, energized. So come for the chance to meet a single person you're attracted to -- but really -- come for yourself.

looking for people to teach a class or host an event
I'm a new retail manager at a fancy mid-sized candle company, and my boss wants me to host events and classes at our store, but I desperately want them to be cool and not lame. I know for a fact people who read these classifieds are cool, so I wanted to put a call out to artists/teachers/creatives/instructors and makers of all kind to see if people might interested in hosting and event or teaching a class in their chosen discipline. DM me on insta @snakula and lets chat more and do something cool
