our sauciest single yet, this week’s pomodoro papi is a professor at his very own university. a verifiable italian thanks to 23andMe, you can expect to catch him simply vibing with a cappuccino this summer. with the bucatini shortage behind us, mr. pomodoro is ready to find somebody to love, or at least somebody to feed. as always, respond to this email to get in touch! pasta puns encouraged, but not required 🍝

tell us a fun fact about yourself
I love to cook — pasta in particular — and during the early period of quar, some friends hit me up and asked if I’d be willing to teach them how to make an easy sauce over facetime. We did one and had a lot of fun, so we made it a weekly thing for the summer with a new sauce each week. They cheekily referred to it as Pasta University, put it on their IG Stories every week, and it got to a point where our mutual friends were asking if they could sign up. After a few weeks of that, we turned it into a real class and for some reason it made the local news in LA. Anyway, it’s still going NYC, but I’ve been slacking a bit since moving back.
what are you most excited to do this summer?
Just enjoy the city. I moved back in January after 2.5 years in LA and I MISSED IT SO MUCH, so I just want to re-experience the best NYC has to offer — all the great grub, museums and galleries, public spaces, being able to actually walk places — but most of the time, you can find me on a corner downtown sipping a cappuccino and soaking it all in.
😈 what’s your toxic trait?
Pasta elitism. I may or may not have a problem, but if I catch you asking for parmigiano on your vongole, we’re going to have a conversation. FWIW this all started as a bit, but it’s my personality now.
🥵 what makes you hot?
I’m tall-ish (a true six-footer!)
I want to cook for you
I love pets and pets love me
My 23andMe says I'm 98.9% Italian
My Brita is always full
My CDG candle (literally) 🥵
I recently acquired an espresso machine
🔎 who are you looking for?
A high-powered tech/finance executive or wealthy heiress looking for a stay-at-home husband. More realistically, a woman who’s down to play some tennis and eat well this summer — not just pasta — and maybe even beyond!
